Gig 'Em Aggies!

Once again the Aggies BTHO tu!!!! WHOOP!!!! Nana & Papa came over for the second half of the game & we all got to relax & enjoy our leftover turkey while watching another great Aggie victory. Isabella even made a call to two of her favorite Longhorn uncles to tell them, "Gig 'em Aggies!" Her new favorite saying.

We even got to enjoy our first fire with the cold weather. I think we had one every day from Thursday through Sunday. Overall, it was a great holiday weekend.

Thanksgiving Day!

We were so excited to get to have Thanksgiving at our house this year. Every year we have to split up the day, half with the Guajardo family & half with the Kemper family. Luckily this year, we got best of both worlds. A full day with everyone at our house!:) This year we our most thankful for our two beautiful daughters & all of our wonderful family. We are so blessed!

*** I forgot about the funniest part of our Thanksgiving until I got Kristi's comment. We were so excited about having Thanksgiving at our place although (I must admit) a little nervous that we were in charge of the turkey this year, it being the most important part of the meal and all. No worries, I had been watching Food Network for the past 2 weeks & saving all turkey related shows to our DVR in case of any catastrophes. And, of course, we always had our parents to call in case there were any last minute questions. So, I woke up early Thursday morning to clean & prep the bird. It was going so smoothly. I set it on our nice roasting rack & pan that we got as a wedding present & had yet to use. I must admit, it looked pretty good with all the butter & spices. I was so proud of myself for getting it all ready just in time to go into the oven by 8:30 for our noon lunch. To my surprise, I open the oven to stick in the turkey.....& it doesn't fit!!!!! All my worry over fixing the turkey just right & not buying a bird that was too big for our tiny oven did I ever think of checking the pan to see if it would fit. Thank God for my parents. Dad came to the rescue & got the turkey to take over to their house. I guess next year we will have to either get a smaller pan or a bigger oven.:)

1 month old!

Last Friday, the 2nd, Mackenzie turned 1 month old. It's amazing how the time has just flown by. She has already grown so much in this short time. We took her to the doctor for her one month check up & she weighed 10 pounds 4.5 ounces & was 22-1/2 inches long. Our little chunky monkey!:) In one month from now she'll get her first round of shots, so it will be nice to get out a little more often. This weekend we're planning on having a Meet Mackenzie party here at the house. So, hopefully we'll have lots of visitors for our Kenzie Girl. She has been such a wonderful blessing & brought so much joy to our growing family. It has been so much fun seeing the sweet interaction between Mackenzie & Isabella. They make wonderful sisters!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Saturday night we had our 2nd annual Halloween Bash with the family. Once again, everyone did a great job of dressing up. I must say we were pretty impressed with all the creativity. We all partied way too hard & ate too much, which always makes for a great night. I wish we had been better about taking more pictures, but I guess we were just too involved in the fun. So, the mission for my family...send me your pictures!!!!! That way I can make this blog a little more interesting. In the meantime, here are just a few of the wonderful characters we had show up...

Christopher Robin, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo, Pooh & Tigger

Mom & Dad were planning on showing up without any costumes, so I decided to take action & tell them what they were going to be.:) (I have such cooperative parents!) It worked out great & we were able to have 2 more members of the Pooh gang.

Isaiah, our little monkey nephew

Cassie, the farmer, with her little pumpkin, Claire

(unfortunately after the cutest pumpkin costume EVER already came off!)

Woody, Jessie & Buzz Light Year...very cute!!!

& Nadia, as the cutest little ladybug

look at those gorgeous blue eyes!!! B-E-A-utiful!!!

There really were so many other wonderful costumes we didn't even get pictures of. So, I'm really counting on my family to help me out & send me your pictures!:) We're already looking forward to next year & waiting for everyone to out-do themselves once again. Thanks to everyone who came; we all had a blast!!!
